BEST SUNDAY BRUNCH IN MUMBAI

Who would like to wake up on a Sunday morning after all the late night partying on Saturday night? We get home very late; and very rarely we sleep in our own homes, and when we wake up and have a look at our clocks, it is either 11Am or 12 Pm. At this time on Sunday starts THE SUNDAY BRUNCH......

My Experience with Mumbai’s Sunday brunch is limited only to the Luxury hotels only. Worth is the deal they give - Unlimited alcohol, unlimited starters, unlimited main course, unlimited desserts & the favourite part - Unlimited Espresso’s.

Hotel - Taj Lands Ends
Restaurant - Vista
Price - 3800 per head approx
.

What’s for the Brunch - The best exclusive deal I ever had on this brunch is the Moet & Chand Champagne along with a Sturgeon / Salmon caviar. For 3000 bucks you get the World class champagne along with caviar. Add to this we can also have an unlimited number of Foei grass.

Then we have the various cold cuts.Ranging from the Oysters, Shellfish, Crabs and a wide variety of steak. Similarly for the veg lovers there are a variety of Breads from Italy, England & the Famous German Rye bread. Great place for Sushi lovers too. Main course starts with the Sea Bass, Turkey/ Pork / German Sausages with the Excellent Malai kofta. Damn! The malai kofta is a must try. First time I have seen a restaurant with a Bitter chocolate (this was like cherry to top of the cake).

Another compliment is the unlimited number of Italian pizzas / Egg Benedict’s/ Pancakes / Waffles etc.
Definitely a must try for any Sunday brunch lovers.

Hotel - ITC Grand Maratha Restaurant - Peshawari
Price - 2300 per head approx.

Whats for Brunch - Veg & Non Veg kebabs cooked in ghee (yummy!) on topped with GH Mumm champagnes (The F1 champagne) , they also have OZ Jacob creek White & red wines. As the summer is unbearable in Mumbai, I suggest having an Indian champagne and then order the kebab platter along with red wines. Red wines will complement the kebabs. The main course is to die for, the Dal Makhani along with the rotis. Grand Maratha's Dal Makhani is a secret recipe. I have heard that it is made to cook overnight & then care is taken in adding the spices. Always when I'm drunk I usually call the chef to know what they do to create this amazing recipe, but as usual no one gives out the secret! Then must try are the Indian Desserts from the delightful Afghan firanee to the pleasant full kulfi.

Restaurant - Cafe Indigo
Price - 2300 per head approx.
The best part here is that they only keep limited number for all the courses & above all you can choose a main course from their attractive menu. Love the British era chairs and with the stool to rest your legs on (Well made me feel like a king). Best to go for are the freshly baked bagels served with eggs. Desserts as I said are limited, but are definitely all well made.

Hotel - ITC Grand Maratha Restaurant - Peshawar Pavilion
Price - 3800 per head approx.

Whats for Brunch -
Cheese cuts are limited here. But a great place for those who love Grey goose vodka to the unlimited core. You’ll have a variety of chaat and to top with these they have a great Hyderabadi dum biryani for veg & non veg lovers. Dessert count is unlimited as you can’t finish the whole of the desserts even if you try each one. Best part here is the Oysters topped with the neat grey goose vodka shots.

Hotel Trident Oberoi Fenix
Price - 3800 per head approx.

Fenix offers a variety of dishes from across the globe, presented in a
contemporary manner. Guests can begin their day with a range of breakfast,
lunch & dinner options, such as the Gourmet Breakfast, Fitness Breakfast, or a
traditional Indian breakfast & lunch. Fresh fruit juices, eggs in any style, pancakes, waffles and more, are also available. James Bond fans can come and
serve on the unlimited Bollinger Champagnes & Bond martini drinks. Beef
wellington & sushi’s are the best here. Not much for veg lovers here in this
brunch.

Hotel JW Marriott Mezo Mezo
Price - 3800 per head approx.

An Italian restaurant offering all the brunch services others provide. Well for first timer it must be a heaven for a Sunday Brunch but trust me there is nothing worth rather than trying the Fruit Pizza. Indian alcohols & Premium Italian wines are served.

Hotel Leela Citrus
Price - 3200 Per Head Approx

Nothing worth of going there, except for F1 champagne which is served
unlimited. Rest all unlimited but will not suit the taste.

Again I would say first timers who have never visited Taj /ITC may like it here.

All the restaurants provided above serve Veg food, Fruits for Fruitarians & unlimited amount of mocktails, cocktails & juices.

If any of you guys could suggest me a restaurant for a good Sunday brunch, Please do let me know.
